Here is a brief explanation of these terms:

Unique Visitors – A unique visitor is a person that has made at least 1 hit on 1 page of a web site during each day or period shown on the report. If this user makes several visits during this period, it is counted only once. Visitors are tracked by IP address, so if multiple users are accessing your site from the same IP (such as a home or office network), they will be counted as a single unique visitor.

Number of Visits – The number of visits is the total number of visits by all visitors over a given period of time.  For example, if I visit your site once, and then come back 4 more times, you should see one unique visit and 5 total visits from me.

Pages – This is the total number of pages viewed by visitors. This does not include images, JavaScript or CSS and the like; just HTML/web page files.

Pages/Visit – This is the total number of pages (on average) viewed by visitors in a given visit to the site.

Hits – This is every file requested by the visitor. This includes pages and images together. If you have a page with 2 images calling a java script file the page will generate a total of 4 hits. The most common referenced stat used and one that is virtually meaningless (and useless). The more appropriate numbers to consider are both ‘number of visitors’ and ‘unique visitors’ (see above).

Bandwidth – The total number of bytes downloaded. If you have a page that has 50 KB of text, 2 images at 24 and 32 KB then each visitor to that page will take 106 KB of your bandwidth.

1. Open Outlook Express and do the following:
   • On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
   • In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click Add, and then click Mail.
2. On the Your Name page, enter your full name in the Display name box.
3. On the internet E-mail Address page, enter your e-mail address in the E-mail address box.
4. On the E-mail server Names page, select My incoming mail server is a POP3 server
5. Under Incoming mail (POP3) server, enter  mail.dazil.com
6. Under Outgoing mail (SMTP) server, enter your ISP’s outgoing mail server (shawmail for shaw, smtp.telus.net for Telus)
7. On the Internet Mail Logon page, in the Account name box, enter your e-mail address (e.g. myname@mydomain.com.  In the Password box, enter your password.  If you want Outlook Express to remember you password select the check box next to Remember password. Click Next.
8. On the Congratulations page, click Finish.

1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts
2. In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click Add
3. On the Select Account Type page, click E-mail Account, and then click Next
4. On the Your Name page, enter your full name in the Display name box
5. On the Internet E-mail Address page, enter your e-mail address in the  E-mail Address box (myname@mydomain.com) and then click Next
6. On the Set up e-mail servers page, in the drop-down menu under Incoming e-mail server type select POP3
   o Under Incoming mail POP3 server, enter mail.dazil.com
   o Under Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP), enter your ISP’s outgoing mail server (fshawmail or Shaw, smtp.telus.net for Telus)
7. On the Internet Mail Logon page, enter your e-mail address and password.  If you want Windows Mail to remember your password, select the check box next to Remember password.  After you have entered this information, click Next
8. On the Congratulations page, select, If you are using POP3, the check box text says Do not download my e-mail at this time. Then click Finish

1. Select Mail/Preferences
2. Click the Accounts button, located at the top of the window
3. To add a new account, click on the plus (+) button, located in the bottom left corner of the window, to launch the Setup Assistant
4. Click the Account Type drop down menu, and then choose POP
5. Enter the following information:
   • Account Description – Use the phrase that will help you identify this account, such as Home, Work and  so forth
   • Full Name – Enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From field of the messages you send, right ahead of your email address. A company name can also be used, if you prefer
   • Email Address – Enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com), using all lower case letters
6. Click Continue to proceed to the next window
7. Under Incoming Mail Server, do the following:
   • Incoming Mail Server – Enter the POP server name: mail.dazil.com
   • User Name – Enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com), using all lower letters
   • Password – Enter the password you created for this email address
8. Mac Mail will now verify your address to make sure the settings are correct. This is a somewhat slow process. If there’s an error, recheck your information. Otherwise, just click Continue to proceed to the next window
9. Under Outgoing Mail Server, do the following:
   • In the Outgoing Mail Server box, enter the outgoing (SMTP) server: Your ISP’s mail server (eg. shawmail for Shaw, smtp.telus.net for Telus)
   • Click the Use Authentication checkbox
   • In the User Name box, enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com), using all lowercase letters
   • In the Password box, enter the password for your email account
10. Click the Continue button, and Mail will check the connection to make sure if succeeds. But be patient, as it may take several minutes for Mail to finish this final stage of the configuration process. If there’s an error in verifying the setup, simply click Go Back to recheck your settings to make sure everything is correct
11. When the setup process is done, you’ll see a window that summarizes your connections. Click Done to finish the setup
12. If you have more accounts to configure, just repeat the above steps, starting with a click of the plus (+) sign in the Accounts window, and you will be taken through the same set of setup screens

    Checking for Mail Automatically
    1. Select Mail/Preferences.
    2. Click the General button.
    3. Click the Check for new mail drop-down menu, and then indicate how often Mac Mail should check for new messages. Or, to turn this feature off, select Manually. The standard or defaulting setting for Mac Mail is five minutes.
    4. Make changes to other mail settings, as desired.
    5. Close the Accounts window.
    6. When prompted to save your changes, click the Save button.

1. Click on the Tools menu, click Account Settings.  In the Account Settings dialog box, on the E-mail tab, click New
2. On the Choose E-mail Service page, make sure POP is selected, and then click Next
3. On the Auto Account Setup page, do not enter any information.  At the bottom of the page, click the Manually configure server settings or additional server types check box
4. Click Internet E-mail, and then click Next
5. Provide the following information on the Internet E-mail Settings page
   • Under User Information:
     • In the Your Name box, enter the name you want users to see when you send email from this account (first and last name or if you would like your business name)
     • In the E-mail Address box, enter your e-mail address
   • Under Server Information:
     • Under Account Type, select POP3
     • In the Incoming mail server box, enter mail.dazil.com
     • In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) box, enter your ISP’s mail server (shawmail for Shaw, smtp.telus.net for Telus)
   • Under Logon Information:
     • In the User Name box, enter your email address
     • In the Password box, enter your password.  If you want Outlook to remember your password, make sure the check box next to Remember password is selected
6. On the Add New E-mail Settings page, click Next.
7. On the Congratulations page, click Finish. Close the Account Settings dialog box.
8. On the Accounts Settings Page, click Close.

1. In Outlook, click on Tools, click on E-mail Accounts
2. On the E-Mail Accounts page, under E-Mail, click Add an e-mail account, and then click Next.
3. On the Server Type page, select POP3, and then click Next.
4. Under User Information:
   • In the Your Name box, enter the name you want users to see when you send e-mail from this account
   • In the Email Address box, enter your email address (e.g. myname@mydomain.com)
5. Under Server Information
   • Enter your POP server name Incoming Mail Server (POP3), mail.dazil.com
   • Enter your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), your ISP’s SMTP server (e.g. shawmail for Shaw, smtp.telus.net for Telus)
6. Under Logon Information:
   • In the User Name box, enter your e-mail address.
   • In the Password box, enter your password. If you want Outlook to remember your password, make sure the check box next to Remember password is selected.
7. Click Test Account Settings to verify that your account is working. If there is missing or incorrect information, such as your password, you will be prompted to supply or correct it. Be sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
8. Click Finish
9. If you want to configure more accounts, just repeat the above steps.
